Dr. Paul Ho will present, "Whispers from the Universe: Studying the Heavens with the Submillimeter Array," Thursday, October 15 at the Keck Observatory’s Hualalai Learning Theater in Waimea and Saturday, October 17 at ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center’s planetarium in Hilo. The program begins at 7 p.m. in Waimea and 7:30 p.m. in Hilo. Space is limited to first-come, first served. In his presentation, Ho will describe how the SMA works and how astronomers use it to investigate star-forming regions and early galaxies. Ho will speak on behalf of Raymond Blundell, the director of SMA.
