Wayfinding & Navigation Festival, 2009

No GPS needed. Follow the stars to Hawai‘i at the Second Annual Hilo Wayfinding Festival, hosted by ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawai‘i, October 16-18, 2009. People first came to Hawai‘i 1,500-2,000 years ago, using celestial navigation as their guide. Highly-acclaimed navigators, including Kalepa Babayan, Kaimana Barcarse, Katherine Fuller, Chad Paishon and Nainoa Thompson will be leading panel discussions and workshops during the event.
