“One Ocean, One Sky” New Planetarium Show
Starting April 17, the `Imiloa Planetarium will be featuring a new show, “One Ocean, One Sky,” which takes you on a guided tour of the Polynesian Voyaging star lines with master navigator Kalepa Baybayan. The show also explores connections between Hawaiian and Japanese voyaging traditions. Shows at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Cultural Merrie Monarch Festival programming at `Imiloa– April 9-14
In support of the popular Merrrie Monarch Festival 2007, 'Imiloa will feature educational and cultural programming that will enhance the understanding of hula, with daily presentations on a range of topics from hula plants, pa’u riding, hula genealogy, and even a performance by 55 dancers from a Japanese halau. These events are free to the public.
