Science Rocks! After School Program
Every Wednesday afternoon during the school year, ‘Imiloa hosts an after-school science program for students in grades four to six. Each session runs from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $20 per session for non-members, and $18 for members.
Hawai'i District Science and Engineering Fair
'Imiloa Astronomy Center will host the 26th Annual Hawaii District Science and Engineering Fair, with judging on Saturday, Feb. 11, of more than 100 varied projects completed by local students in grades 6-12. Some students have worked on their projects for a year or more.
Awards will be announced at 6:30 p.m. that day in the University of Hawaii at Hilo Campus Center cafeteria.
The Science Fair and it's exhibits will be open to the public at 'Imiloa Astronomy Center on Sunday, Feb. 12, and the following Tuesday through Friday during business hours. Closed to the public on Monday, 'Imiloa has a special schedule on Feb. 13 for school children with field trips during the day.
