Plan a Visit to ‘Imiloa
Be sure to budget enough time (at least two hours) to truly experience ‘Imiloa: explore Exhibit Hall, walk through native gardens, see one (or more) planetarium shows.
Note our opening hours. ‘Imiloa closed on Mondays. Arrive early to maximize your visit.
Check ‘Imiloa's Calendar for special programs and events, planetarium show times.
If you get hungry, stop for a meal at the Sky Garden Restaurant, which is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (dinners Thursday-Sunday nights 5:00 to 8:30 pm)
Stop by the ‘Imiloa Museum Store and take home something special to recall your ‘Imiloa experience to share with family and friends.
Remember that the Island of Hawaii is BIG—more than 4,000 square feet, twice the combined size of the other islands! Driving takes time, as roads are often two lanes and getting around requires coastal, curvy and slow driving.
Discover Hilo! Consider staying overnight on the eastern side of the island. Take the time to explore and find the treasures!
