'Imi Na'auao

‘Imi Na‘auao is a Wayfinding Skills workshop offered by ‘Imiloa in partnership with ‘Ohana Wa‘a, a coalition of voyaging organizations from around the Hawaiian islands.

The goals of the workshop is to provide:

  • Activities that are rigorous and academically challenging taught from a Hawaiian paradigm
  • Content that is culturally relevant and engaging
  • Opportunities to build relationships among the voyaging community and expand your network of like minded collaborators
  • Recognize the larger community of voyagers that you belong to
  • The most current training materials, curriculum, and planetarium technology that enhances the way navigators view the night sky
  • An opportunity to provide input on how to improve the methodologies and tools used in teaching Wayfinding and Navigation
